The Hallett Gallery, Counselling service; art & cultural insights incl Sir Hubert Wilkins' Cottage, Ulooloo gold fields, Dares Hill & Ketchowla.
The Hallett Gallery acknowledges we are privileged to stand and live on the spiritual land of the Ngadjuri nation, and acknowledge and show our respect of elders past and present. We encourage all visitors to our area to treat this country with the reverence due to the spiritual being who nurtures spirit, soul, and body.
Why visit Hallett?
The beautiful backdrop of the Razorback ranges, and mystical Mount Bryan, site of an Indigenous massacre and home to Australia's most significant gum tree, the 4,000 year old Eucapyptus Globulus, spp bicostata.
Bird life: There are the character-filled apostle birds who make pets of Hallett residents, plus pink robins, plains wanderers, butcher birds, painted falcons, to name a few in our range of ecosystems an easy drive away, enrolee to gold fields, and the historic Wilkins cottage.
Hallett Store, now a local coffee and craft shop with its fantastic display of local craft and produce.
Visit the Hallett Olde School Gallery , a magnificent bluestone 1890's school which was the former Hallett Primary School, home to four ghosts, and is set in a garden based on biodynamic practice and medicinal herbs. Some herbs are for sale, or you can walk the labyrinth.
Felicity (BPsychSc(Hons); GradCertNeuroPsych (King's College London); DipCouns) is a national art prize winner and an internationally recognised Tarot and hand reader
Learn about your life path, and lessons, through your hand. The hand reflects much of our genetic heritage and the biopsychosocial journey of our life. Readings: a combined hand and tarot reading exploring your Indivisible Self- $40. Please phone to book (08)88942284 or M: 0419 768384.
The gallery hosts 2D artworks and installations by Felicity Martin and well known South Australian artists including Donald Richardson, Gordon Harrell (dec), Sue Hatch, Mary Clock Clark & Bernadette Van Eyk, Helen Lyons & quilter Joy O'Brien .
Art classes and Tarot and Palmistry Workshops: There are workshops run throughout the year on drawing subject to demand- contact us to be put on an interest list.
Felicity is currently doing her Masters in Neuroscience and Psychology through King's College London.
Occasional overnight weekend workshops are available if you wish to have an extended metaphysical journey or artist's retreat- if you are prepared to risk an encounter with one of our resident ghosts.
Explore the history of Felicity's former family-owned Ketchowla Station, Wilkins' cottage and Dare's Hill via restored photos, including learning about local attractions such as the Piltimittiitialpa ruins and ancient rock art and landforms in our area.
